McDermott Will & Emery is one of the latest firms to recruit top tax partners amid the crushing wave of deal volume this year and anticipated regulatory changes. The firm said Thursday it’s adding three tax lawyers, including the former head of Baker McKenzie’s global tax planning group.

Partners Jeffrey Maydew and Meaghan Wolfe joined McDermott from Baker McKenzie, where Maydew was chair of its global tax planning and transactions group. Also joining McDermott is Michael Hardgrove, from DLA Piper.
