There were 10 billion-dollar deals done last week, and the largest one was a doozy. 

Square Inc. agreed to acquire Afterpay Ltd. for $29 billion. The transaction, announced Aug. 1, is expected to close in early 2022. Square is advised by King & Wood Mallesons and a Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz team led by partners Ronald C. Chen and David C. Karp. Melbourne, Australia-based Afterpay is represented by Gilbert + Tobin and a Cravath, Swaine & Moore team led by partners Damien R. Zoubek and Jenny Hochenberg.
