A flurry of lateral moves this week suggests mergers and acquisitions and private equity leaders remain in high demand, with Holland & Knight continuing to build after its merger with Thompson & Knight, and Mayer Brown losing one leader to Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner but gaining another from Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.

Kwon Lee, the former co-head of the U.S. Asia real estate practice at Mayer Brown, has taken his cross-border transactions-focused practice to Bryan Cave, where he’ll head the firm’s Korea practice, the firm announced this week. Mayer Brown, however, also added corporate and securities lawyer Martha McGarry from Skadden to co-lead its U.S. M&A practice.
