Michigan cannabis attorney John Fraser wasn’t looking to switch firms, but unexpectedly he found himself a hot commodity this summer and accepted an offer from Dykema Gossett, illustrating the strong demand for lawyers in his practice area.

“All of a sudden I had some interest from a number of firms that were familiar with me and my work. It was very flattering,” said Fraser, who joined Dykema’s Lansing, Michigan, office this month as an associate in the government policy and practice group. He serves as Michigan team lead in the firm’s cannabis group.
