The LCLD hopes that by making pledges on diversity public, the in-house departments and law firms that make up the organization will be better held accountable.

DiversityThe Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) is requiring that its roughly 350 members each make public pledges that include "specific, measurable actions" on diversity to remain a member of the organization—an effort to hold the law firms and legal departments that make up the organization publicly accountable going forward.
