Squire Patton Boggs has appointed Michele Connell as the next global managing partner of the firm’s U.S. LLP, succeeding Fred Nance, who has served in the role since 2016. Nance will remain part of the firm’s executive leadership team while heading a new Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, which will help the firm develop policy and make strategic management decisions.

Connell has served as managing partner of the firm’s Cleveland office since 2016, and has been with the firm for 20 years—the entirety of her legal career. Her practice focus is international M&A and global corporate strategies—particularly in China and Brazil.
