In a rare lateral departure from Cravath, Swaine & Moore, dealmaker Damien Zoubek has joined Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer as the international firm continues to ride a remarkable wave of demand for corporate transactional work.

Zoubek, who joined Cravath in 1999 and was named a partner in 2007, will co-lead Freshfields’ U.S. corporate and M&A practice alongside Ethan Klingsberg, who departed Clearly Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton to join Freshfields in October 2019.
