Michael George DeSombre, the U.S. ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand between January 2020 to January 2021, has returned to the firm he called home for 25 years, Sullivan & Cromwell announced Tuesday. He will be resident in the firm’s Hong Kong office. 

DeSombre will resume his role of heading up the firm’s Asia M&A and private equity practice as well as its Korea practice.
