Herbert Smith Freehills has hired two financial services partners from Hogan Lovells in New York City, an office that has quadrupled in head count since 2012.

Herbert Smith Freehills has hired away Hogan Lovells finance litigation chairman Marc Gottridge and New York City office administrative partner Lisa Fried as United Kingdom firms continue to make inroads into the United States market.
The additions come as the firm has quadrupled the size of its New York City office since it opened in 2012—totaling 43 lawyers, according to the firm's website.
