For the second consecutive week, Deal Watch found no traditional IPO listing in the previous seven days, at the tail end of a year that saw a record number of IPOs.

But maybe not completely surprising. SPACs have also had a record year for number and value, and as the year winds down it appears that companies wanting to go public have decided that the less invasive SPAC process is the way to go.
