Bay Area litigator Sonia Martin has become the first woman to serve in the top seat for Dentons’ U.S. operations, filling a U.S. CEO vacancy that was created in July 2021 when Mike McNamara resigned after a decade in the role.

As CEO, Martin is tasked with helping the firm expand in new and existing markets in the U.S. amid its Golden Spike plans, an initiative that has also coincided with a number of partner exits.
