For the second year in a row, the stream of pandemic-related insolvency predicted by bankruptcy lawyers and economists alike remains a trickle.

Commercial Chapter 11 bankruptcy filings rose in December to 309, exceeding November filings by more than 50% but still falling short of every December since at least 2013, according to a Thursday report by legal data firm Epiq Global.
