Michael Best & Friedrich attorney Andrew Hitt was subpoenaed Friday by the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, as one of 14 individuals who acted as purported “alternate electors” for former President Donald Trump. 

Hitt, senior counsel with the firm and a partner with lobbying affiliate Michael Best Strategies, was listed as the chairperson for a group of Wisconsin Republicans who submitted an electoral college certificate to Congress falsely indicating that Trump had won the state.
