Dechert followed up a lackluster 2020 with a striking financial performance in 2021 that saw the firm raise revenues by 25% and take an even bigger step forward in profits per equity partner.
All of Dechert's capital-facing teams—real estate securitization, private equity and fund formation, namely—had extraordinary years, according to Dechert CEO Henry Nassau, both because of the quality of their lawyers and also the volume of capital floating around the world. And while the firm's litigators did not match the volume generated by its dealmakers, they were busier than in 2020, with the products liability practice having its best year ever.
