Ropes & Gray has brought on as a partner Richard Kidd, a former Kirkland & Ellis partner and former labor and employment group leader. Kidd will practice in Ropes’ employee, executive compensation and benefits practice in New York, the firm said Monday.

The hiring continues the talent battle between Ropes and Kirkland, which have a history of hiring partners from one another.
