Kirkland & Ellis announced a planned Miami office on Thursday morning, making it the third Chicago-born law firm to expand to the Magic City in the past week by either launching an office or hiring local partners.

Kirkland is entering the Miami market by relocating corporate partners Jeremy Liss, Matthew Arenson and Jeffrey Swatzell from Chicago and Eduardo Leal from New York.
