Morgan, Lewis & Bockius is adding all 14 attorneys from Seattle litigation boutique, Calfo Eakes, seeking to be closer and more accessible to dozens of its clients.

The firm, whose clients include Microsoft, Amazon and Expedia, said it’s opening in the Emerald City with a 34-member team that will boost its capabilities in commercial and intellectual property, employment and white-collar litigation matters. Although firm leaders characterized the addition as a lateral group move, it comes amid a recent run of midsize and boutique acquisitions this year.
