Former Fried, Frank, Shriver & Jacobson partner Stacey Song has joined Cooley’s fund formation practice in New York, the firm said Wednesday.

“It was just an incredible opportunity that I couldn’t pass up,” Song said in an interview. “And the opportunity came about organically. A few of my former colleagues were at Cooley, and their fund formation practice was thriving, and they were happy. With my regulatory background and private fund experience, it was a natural fit from a business perspective. Once I met the people of Cooley and saw how collaborative they were, I was instantly drawn to the culture there. It gave me a vision of what we could build together and how we could help new and existing clients.”
