After a spurt of big deal activity in late July and early August, merger and acquisition announcements have returned to a slow crawl in the last two weeks.

There were only four deals over $1 billion in the last two weeks tracked by Law.com Radar, with just one new SPAC and four new SPAC mergers. IPOs are once again absent. By comparison, the last week of July and the first week of August each had 13 deals over $1 billion.
