Paul Hastings has brought on a second finance partner from Weil, Gotshal & Manges within two weeks, adding Patrick Bright, a high-yield transactions attorney in its London office. His move comes just after the firm added former Weil finance partner Morgan Bale earlier this month.

In an interview, Paul Hastings chair Frank Lopez said that the additions of Bale and Bright—while coincidental both are from the same firm—are part of a broader strategy at his firm to “diversify” its finance practice. The strategy, he indicated, will ensure the Paul Hastings practice is well-positioned in any economic condition for a variety of matters, from high-yield bond work to investment-grade securities.
