Even with uncertainty stalking the industry, large law firms are continuing to add dealmakers in M&A and private equity, with Hogan Lovells and Troutman Pepper Hamilton Sanders some of the latest to announce corporate laterals this week.

Demand for corporate work may have been down last quarter. But it remains above pre-pandemic levels, and corporate practice billing rate growth remained strong through the middle of last year, according to recent reports.
