A moderately busy week in M&A saw one big deal, several smaller ones—and even an IPO. Proskauer partner Kristina Trauger sees room for optimism in IPO activity this year.

Vinson & Elkins, Debevoise & Plimpton and Kirkland & Ellis all represented principals in the largest announced deal of the week, announced Monday, which saw Focus Financial Partners taken private by Clayton, Dubilier & Rice for $7 billion.
Meanwhile, there was one new IPO this past week as well as three new SPACs.

The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota.
