Warning signs pertaining to lateral candidates have increased since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, according to research by a firm providing prehire due diligence for law firms. Nearly one-third of all lateral candidates in 2022 tracked by Decipher Investigative Intelligence came with different types of "red flags."
