Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has bolstered its U.S. finance practice with the hire of partner David Sewell, the firm announced on Thursday.

Sewell is set to join the firm from U.S. outfit Perkins Coie, where he spent just under two years as a partner, following more than five years as counsel at Debevoise & Plimpton —briefly interrupted by a nine-month stint as an executive director for JP Morgan, according to his LinkedIn.
