R. Robert Popeo, who led Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo as chairman and served as a member of the policy committee, died on Monday, according to the firm. He was 85.

Popeo “passed away peacefully” in the presence of his family, said a firm statement. A firm representative did not comment on the cause of death.
