With its “foundation” set over the last five years, Husch Blackwell said it is bringing on a business professional from Baker McKenzie as chief executive officer.

The firm said on Monday that Jamie Lawless, previously an executive director at Baker McKenzie, will take the reins in February from Paul Eberle, who was believed to be one of the first business professionals not to have a law degree to lead an Am Law 100 firm when he was appointed to the position in 2018. Lawless also doesn’t have a law degree.
