Although many attorneys don’t expect AI to render humans’ jobs obsolete, many believe the accelerated adoption of technology in the practice of law will change the role of the law firm associate.

Some lawyers have made stark predictions about the contraction of the legal workforce, and a Goldman Sachs report raised alarm bells earlier this year when it estimated that generative AI could automate 44% of legal tasks in the U.S.
