Another litigation partner at Kirkland & Ellis has moved to 152-lawyer Phillips Lytle, as the midsize law firm continues to build out its Chicago office and attract Big Law talent.

The Buffalo, New York-based firm said Thursday that it has hired Jaran Moten, who spent 10 years at the No. 1 ranked firm in the Am Law 100. Moten, who worked as an associate and then a partner at Kirkland, joined Phillips Lytle's outpost in the Windy City roughly a year after it opened shop with John R. Worth, another Kirkland alumnus.
