Midwest firms Ulmer & Berne LLP and Greensfelder Hemker & Gale will be merging, effective Feb. 1, 2024, sparking the creation of a new Am Law 200 contender.

The firm released its announcement Tuesday following a unanimous partner vote favoring the combination. The new firm, named UB Greensfelder, will have an estimated 275 attorneys across nine offices and an annual gross revenue of approximately $150 million. That would put the firm into spot 181 in the latest Am Law 200 rankings, according to the firms’ press release.
