Dentons has started the search for a new leader after its longtime chief executive officer Elliott Portnoy announced he would not be standing for another term.

Portnoy has been CEO at the firm for 11 years and will lead Dentons until his current term expires in November 2024. Prior to becoming CEO, he served as SNR Dentons’ global CEO for three years, following a merger between U.S. firm Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal and U.K.-based Denton Wilde Sapte in 2010.
