For the second year in a row since the pandemic, the Association of American Law Schools will be able hold its annual meeting in person—this year from Jan. 3 through Jan. 6 in Washington, D.C., which will include swearing in a new president at the end of the conference.

Mark Alexander, Arthur J. Kania dean and professor of Law at Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, will end his term as AALS president on Jan. 6 and hand the reins over to Melanie D. Wilson, dean and Roy L. Steinheimer Jr. Professor of Law at Washington & Lee University School of Law.
