- Seyfarth on Wednesday announced the addition of Jason DeJonker, Scott Olson and Richard White from BCLP.
- The move comes as countercyclical work in general buoyed much of the industry in 2023, but bankruptcy in particular accounted for some of the biggest chunks of demand.
- Two of the laterals, including the practice chair, are returning to Seyfarth after earlier stints with the firm. The third partner worked closely with BCLP laterals who launched Seyfarth's office in Dallas.
On the heels of a boost in bankruptcy practice demand across the Am Law 100, Seyfarth Shaw has launched a restructuring and insolvency group, adding a practice leader and two other partners from Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner.

The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments.
