Los Angeles-based litigation firm Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith was sued for $9 million in an LA court this week by its former real estate broker, who alleges the practice wrongfully terminated his employment.

According to the complaint, filed Thursday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, broker Jonathan Larsen, who had been working with Lewis Brisbois as a client since 2012, in January 2015 entered into a seven-year exclusive representation agreement with Lewis Brisbois, which entitled him to be the lead negotiator for all of the firm’s leases and subleases. The contract had since been amended multiple times, most recently to extend the term of the ERA to June 22, 2030.
