Of the firms ranked, nine averaged more than 100 hours per lawyer, while 105 firms achieved the industry standard of more than 20 hours on average per lawyer.

This breadth of commitment chart ranks Am Law 200 firms by the percentage of their U.S.-based lawyers who performed more than 20 hours of pro bono work in 2023. Calculations are based on lawyer counts as of Dec. 31, 2023, allowing firms to go over 100% given hirings throughout the year. There are 55 firms with at least half of their lawyers meeting the 20-hour-per-lawyer benchmark.
