Christopher Healey, a partner in the registered funds practice at Simpson, Thacher & Bartlett, has moved over to Davis, Polk & Wardwell, the firm announced Monday. He will be part of the firm’s investment management practice and based in Washington, D.C.

“We are planning a material growth initiative in our asset management platform,” Neil Barr, managing partner of Davis Polk, said in a statement. “Chris is a rising star in the registered funds space who brings deep market knowledge and significant experience in both transactional and regulatory work. In addition to addressing a strategic objective for our Investment Management practice, Chris is key to the buildout of our corporate presence in Washington.”
