Cahill, Gordon & Reindel is the latest law firm to formalize a congressional investigations practice, recruiting a veteran attorney from Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr to lead the new practice group, as the New York firm aims to pull in more work from its transactional clients.

Edward O’Callaghan, who was a Wilmer partner, has joined Cahill as a partner and co-head of the firm’s Washington, D.C., office, where he will chair its congressional investigations practice group.
