As Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith continues revamping some administrative functions following a mass exodus of attorneys last year, the firm has hired former McGuireWoods chief operating officer Richard Davis for its own COO role.

Helping to implement and embrace change will be a key part of Davis’ priorities as COO, he said in an interview. Davis pointed to several short and long-term priorities at Lewis Brisbois, including a “more robust budgeting process” and creating a long-term strategic plan involving hiring, technology and firm culture.
