- However, recruiters say, work-life balance isn't likely to improve for an attorney moving from Big Tech to Big Law.
The once-massive pay gap between Big Law and Big Tech is narrowing, and lawyers for technology companies are increasingly migrating to law firms to take advantage of swelling compensation.
For a while, it was understood that Big Tech provided a more lucrative opportunity for lawyers, especially when stock options were accounted for. But that's changing, said David Nicol, head of legal recruitment firm Marsden's U.S. practice.
