After agreeing in April to pay $8 million to settle claims with members of a lawsuit over a 2023 data breach, Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe's settlement offer was approved in a Friday hearing by U.S. District Judge Susan Illston of the Northern District of California.

Illston congratulated the parties on the case's expediency and said an order on attorney fees was imminent, Bloomberg Law initially reported. Fees could be as high as 25% of the $8 million sum, settlement documents indicate.
