When several Irish news outlets ran a story on Eversheds Sutherland's Irish arm potentially joining up with local powerhouse William Fry last week, it wasn’t only news to the broader legal industry. The U.K.-headquarters of Eversheds Sutherland International seemed caught off guard too.
After a while, a statement from Eversheds Sutherland would state that indeed there were talks of a “possible merger”.
