But one law firm still hit it bigger than most on a highly lucrative retention this year. Between early May and the end of October, Weil, Gotshal & Manges billed more than $69 million as debtors counsel in the bankruptcy of Steward Health Care System, the nation's largest private for-profit hospital chain.
