McDermott, Will & Emery has added the former head of restructuring at Shearman & Sterling as a partner in its London office.
Alexander Wood is joining McDermott's transaction practice group in London, the firm announced today.
Wood, whose practice focuses on corporate finance, restructuring, insolvency, and special situations, was head of restructuring at Shearman & Sterling from September 2020 and January 2023, prior to its merger with elite U.K. firm Allen & Overy last year.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays.
