Five litigation partners are leaving Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom for Kirkland & Ellis, which is now planning to open a Philadelphia office. Allison Brown, who has represented and won multiple trials for Johnson & Johnson in cancer claims related to the company’s talcum powder, is leading the team of five partners to Kirkland, the firm confirmed to The American Lawyer on Tuesday.

Brown will help Kirkland start a “new chapter” in The City of Brotherly Love, bringing an “unrivaled track record in product liability and mass torts,” the firm stated. She’s coming with partners Jessica Davidson, Geoffrey Wyatt, Nina Rose and Christopher Cox.
