Skadden, Latham, Kirkland and Davis Polk—traditionally the strongest legal advisers for major U.S. listings by Chinese companies—acted on fewer than five of these IPOs last year, according to a Law.com International analysis of Nasdaq data.

Seventy-six Asia-based companies listed in New York in 2024, according to Nasdaq data analyzed by Law.com International. Of those, 31 of the issuers, or 40%, are headquartered in mainland China, and 29 are based in Hong Kong.
In addition, 14 are headquartered in Singapore, one is based in Tokyo, and one in Kuala Lumpur.
