After an executive order signaled a crackdown on the very principle of DEI, law firms are considering ways to ensure that programs focused on inclusion don't come off as exclusionary to some.

President Donald Trump quickly put diversity, equity and inclusion efforts in his crosshairs after taking office last week, leaving law firms to navigate the changing legal landscape around their internal DEI efforts and messaging.
Trump issued an executive order last Tuesday, the day after his inauguration, seeking to end "illegal discrimination" in favor of "restoring merit-based opportunity" in government and the private sector.

The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Zahid N. Quraishi, is 3:24-cv-11294, Graco Inc. et al v. Devco Corporation.
