Bankruptcy: Matthew Feldman, Treasury Auto Task Force

On the shelf behind Matthew Feldman’s desk at Willkie Farr & Gallagher sits the Secretary’s Honor Award he received from the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Its citation calls Feldman “the designer and driving force” behind Treasury’s legal strategy in the bankruptcies of General Motors Corporation and Chrysler LLC. Here in his corner office, Feldman is a world away from the basement cubicle at the Treasury building in Washington, D.C., where he spent five months last year as the chief legal adviser to Treasury’s auto team.
