Tuyet Nguyen and her husband have shrimped off the shores of Biloxi, Mississippi for 25 years. Their shrimping business has always brought in a steady income that’s supported their four children. But now, during the height of the Gulf’s shrimping season, their nets are bone dry.
Waters off the Mississippi shore have been closed to shrimpers and fishers because of BP’s leaking oil well 18,000 feet under the sea.
