On September 1, Netflix subscribers will be able to use their Internet connections to stream such hit movies as Iron Man, Raiders of the Lost Ark, the Godfather series, and even the Michael Keaton comedy Mr. Mom.
Those films, and nearly 3,000 more, will be added to the movie-rental company’s streaming-video offerings as part of a groundbreaking content-sharing agreement between Netflix and Epix, a paid television channel owned by Viacom, its Paramount Pictures unit, Lionsgate, and MGM.
