Bratz dolls are known for their pouty demeanor. But pouty might also best describe Isaac Larian, chief executive of Bratz maker MGA Entertainment, Inc., when dealing with the lawyers who have represented his company in the long-running copyright battle with rival Mattel, Inc.
Larian is known for his bespoke suits, blue suede loafers, and demanding nature. He has employed nine different law firms during the six-year litigation. “That turnover isn’t because lawyers were getting the flu,” says one person who has worked with MGA during its legal saga.
