JENNIFER THORNTON, a former attorney-adviser in the office of the legal adviser at the U.S. Department of State, is now special counsel with Baker Botts. Thornton will be based in Washington, D.C., as part of the firm’s international arbitration and dispute resolution group. She is also an adjunct professor of law at the George Mason University School of Law.

Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz has announced the addition of DAVID RIEVESCHL as of counsel in the firm’s securities and corporate governance department. Rieveschl was recently a partner at Troutman Sanders. His specialty includes work in securities, corporate, M&A, and banking law.
